As detailed in our post in October 2019, The North Lakes Chamber of Commerce is changing its name to the Moreton Bay Business Association (MBBA) which will better enable us to serve a membership base that includes businesses from throughout the region, as well as attract new members to a business-focused organisation that is inclusive, responsive, and not restricted by the traditional model used by Chambers of Commerce. The Moreton Bay Business Association’s main goals are:

• Fostering innovation and entrepreneurship within business
• Fostering and embracing a ”Buy Local” mindset whilst encouraging small business to engage nationally
• Fostering an environment where businesses can become economically viable and competitive in the global economy
• Fostering the development of strong business networks locally, nationally and
• Fostering entrepreneurship within the school system

“As a Chamber of Commerce, we were restricted by the stigma of old-school thinking and want to reach a fresher, more dynamic audience” says Dave Green, Chairman of the MBBA. Dave added “The MBBA is already having an impact on the wider community, and we are bringing together businesses who may never have met using the existing Chamber of Commerce framework. Our plan is to be an inclusive, relevant, engaged and innovative membership group for all businesses within the region”.

No matter what business you are in, we are dedicated to supporting and helping businesses connect, grow and prosper in not only the Moreton region, but nationally and internationally.

Please contact us via PM for membership information.
